and will run until the following saturday. That's six days.
Mini Camp begins with registration on Monday at 3pm and concludes with a family picnic on Thursday.

Q: Where do the campers sleep?
|
|
Campers sleep in cabins for the duration of their stay (with six to eight campers of a
similar age, as well as 1-2 counselors). The eight Olympic cabins are situated on the upper
field while the six Cascade cabins are clustered in the woods. Each group of cabins is
serviced by a large, centrally located bathouse with hot showers. Many campers will experience
an overnight camp-out at one of our four on-site camping spots.
|
|
Q: How is each session staffed?
|
|
Each cabin has either one or two counselors who will sleep in the cabin each night with the
campers for the duration of the session. Two cabins of a similar age come together to form
a Discovery Group. The staff from each cabin, along with a Discovery Group Leader (DGL)
will spend every day with the group, with the exception of Activity Times and Community
Times where campers are encouraged to mingle with the whole community and staff.

|
Q: What facilities can campers expect to enjoy? |
|
Camp Huston has an outdoor heated swimming pool, archery range, basketball court, overnight camping spots
and large play fields with sports equipment. The arts and crafts center is kept well-stocked. Many campers
take advantage of Camp Huston's Challenge Course. Evening worship services are held at St. John in the Woods
(our chapel), or at the campfire circle. And our location next to Wallace Falls State Park allows for hiking
and easy access to the Wallace River during group time.

|
Q: Is there a nurse at camp? |
|
Yes! A registered nurse is present and on-site for the entire week of camp. Each camper will meet
the nurse at check-in on the first day. Medications are kept locked at all times and dispensed by
the nurse after breakfast, lunch, dinner and before bed.

|
Q: Is Camp Huston accredited by the American Camp
Association? |

our camper's safety and security. The accreditation process happens every three years.
See to leant more about the ACA.
